How to transfer a foreign drivers license to a Dutch drivers license:

If you have a valid drivers license from another country and you’re living in Holland, you may legally drive up to 6 months without applying for a Dutch license. After 6 months you need to have a Dutch drivers license in order to continue to drive in Holland.
In order to obtain a Dutch driving license, you will need to first pass the theory exam and then the driving exam.

Before you can take the driving exam you need to pass the theory exam.

Before taking the driving exam we will need to take a intake, after this test we will see how many driving lessons you will need to have adapt well enough for the driving exam. After the test we will plan a date for the driving exam and if needed more driving lessons.

When applying for a Dutch drivers license you need the following:

• Personal declaration (available at the driving school)
• A certificat from the population register
• A valid form of identification
• Residence permit
